Miley Cyrus is a teen actress, singer, and songwriter. Miley’s real name is Destiny Hope Cyrus. Miley was born in Franklin, Tennessee. Miley’s mothers name is Leticia Cyrus and her Father’s name is Billy Ray Cyrus. Miley’s parents got her nick name by how “smiley” she was as a small child. Miley grew up on her parent’s farm in Tenessee. Miley attended middle school at Heritage Middle School but now Miley goes to a school called Options for Youth, and she also has a private tutor.

Miley became very interested in acting at age 9. At age none Miley aleady had small parts in a few different shows. Miley was twelve when she first tried out for the leading role of Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana, at this time the Disney channel did not hire her, they said she was to small. Miley wouldn’t take “No” for an answer. Miley continued to try out. Disney channel saw how devoted Miley was and called Miley in for several auditions. Finally Miley landed the part and is currently the star in Hannah Montana, the hit show on the Disney channel.

Miley Cyrus doesn’t only play as Hannah Montana but, she also sings and writes her own songs. Miley introduced her first soundtrack. Disney released the soundtrack on October 24, 2006. Miley also signed a deal with Hollywood Records to make her own records.

Miley has many close friends. A lot of Miley’s close friends are co-stars in her shows. Emily Osment and Mitchel Musso are two of Miley’s good friends who are co-stars on Hannah Montana. Miley also has some close friends from the High School Musical, including Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron.

Along with many other stars their have many controversies over Miley Cyrus. Miley Cyrus claims to be a Christian person and, her and her family, attend church weekly.
